For the first time in many years, Tashkent Zoo got two panthers, the press service of the zoo said. Bagheera and Typhoon were brought in with the help of the zoo's management company, Wildlife Care.
The panthers have been placed in different enclosures, which are equipped with logs, wooden decks, the ground is sand. The interior is insulated with straw. For games, they have balls and toys made from feathers of large birds.
Panthers are eating beef, once a week they are given rabbits, milk and eggs are also added to the diet.
“Over time, they will move to spectacular exposition enclosures specially designed for them with spacious open ranges,” the zoo added.
