José Carreras, one of the greatest tenors of all time, will perform at the Uzbekistan International Forums Palace on December 17, accompanied by the Uzbekistan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the Spanish maestro David Gimenez.

Kuwait city will host the Days of Uzbek Culture from December 15 to 22, the Uzbek ministry of culture said. The events will be opened with a concert, also featuring exhibitions of national applied arts and photographs, presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourist potential and sights, round table, master classes and other events.

British pop singer Robbie Williams will perform at Tashkent’s International Forums Palace on December 15. The concert is reportedly organized by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.

“Caravan on the Silk Road” sculptural composition has been erected in Tashkent’s Chilanzar district at the entrance to the city, Nuz.Uz reported.

According to UzbekKino (transl. Uzbek Cinema), Fotih Jalalov has been appointed interim Director of UzbekFilm (transl. Uzbek Movie), the national film studio.

Tashkent’s UzExpoCentre will host the annual Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) -Tourism on the Silk Road 2017 from October 3-5. The Fair is Uzbekistan’s main tourism eventб which has been held annually since 1994 and is rightfully recognized by the international tourist community as the landmark event in the global tourist exhibitions calendar.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered an opening speech at the Sharq Taronalari music festival in Samarkand, the Presidency website said.

The delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov visited the National Museum of India in New Delhi on Monday, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

Tashkent will host exhibition of photos capturing the life of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and Islam Karimov portrait exhibition including works chosen  following the contest.  The contest featured entries by professional artists, graphic artists and painters. Winners of the contest will be awarded with prizes from the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

On September 9-10, maiden symphonic open-air concert will be held in Tashkent co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and TOP Congress. It will mark the opening of the 88th theatrical season of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater (SABT).
