Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) confirmed that Srečko Katanec had been appointed as the new head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, UFA said.
The contract until 2025with Srecko Katanec was signed in Tashkent. His coaching staff will include five foreign specialists. Ales Cech and Vlado Radmanovic will be assistants to the head coach, Martin Magister will be responsible for physical training, Nihad Pejkovic - goalkeeping coach and Jan Katanec - physiotherapist.
Srečko Katanec announced the players whom he called up for the Sweden friendly on September in Stockholm.
