For the first time in history, Professional Football League, the men's second professional football division of the Uzbek football league system, will have a title sponsor. The league chages it name to PFL Volkswagen, UzReport said.
PFL, Jizzakh Automobile Plant, which will make Volkswagen light commercial vehicles and UZREPORT TV signed a trilateral agreement on April 26.
"The Volkswagen trade will be displayed place in all Pro League broadcasts, commercial banners at events and meetings, as well as commercials and media products," it said.
Volkswagen is also the official sponsor of the UEFA EURO 2020, which will take place in the summer of 2021. The company also cooperates with the national football leagues of Germany, Russia and several other countries.
In 2020, Uzavtosanoat and Volkswagen Group Rus signed an agreement on the production of light commercial vehicles in Jizzakh free economic zone.
