Earlier, Sport channel was expected to air the match. But the head coach of the national team Samvel Babayan requested that the match not to be aired, wanting to focus on game, with a likely reason which is to avoid pressure by spectators during and after match.
Samvel Babayan has faced heavy criticism after poor display loss 0-2 to Iran in the last World Cup qualifier. Uzbekistan fans called for Babayan sacking after defeat which evoked strong emotions among fans. In whichever league game attended by Babayan, he encountered negative emotions by fans calling for him to leave.
