The central office of Madad non-governmental non-profit organization (NGO) opened in Tashkent Thursday, the Ministry of Justice said. The office provides free legal advice and assistance to individuals.
Madad NGO was established by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 6, and it will in charge for opening legal consulting offices in districts (cities). In addition, Madad will oversee the national legal portal Advice.uz, launched in April.
According to the Ministry of Justice, now 28 bureaus are being set up in all provinces of the country. In 2020, another 100 such consulting bureaus will open, with evenetually buraeus to be opened in each district.
It is expected that Madad bureaus will help to increase up to 50% the coverage of the public with free legal services.
