Tokyo police have arrested a 45-year-old Uzbek national who works as a food delivery courier on suspicion of committing indecent acts against a schoolgirl.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the man delivered an order to a home in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward at about 5 p.m. on July 5. He is suspected of hugging and kissing a girl of about 10 who answered the door.
Police said the suspect has admitted to the allegations. He reportedly told investigators he "couldn't restrain himself" because the girl was "his type."
The girl was home alone at the time and had opened the door to receive food ordered by her parents. She called police after the incident.
It was reported earlier that two Uzbek students who had stayed in Japan illegally after their visas expired were arrested and deported.
