Fourteen modern trains, comprising 56 new cars, have entered service on the Tashkent Metro. As a result, the system's rolling stock has been renewed by nearly 70 percent, cutting passenger wait times during peak hours.
According to the Ministry of Transport, all new trains scheduled for purchase in 2026 were delivered before the start of the school year. The new-generation trains are now running on all four metro lines.
During peak hours, trains currently run at the following intervals:
- Chilonzor Line: 1.5–2 minutes
- Uzbekistan Line: 3 minutes
- Yunusobod Line: 4 minutes
- Above-ground Circle Line: 7–8 minutes
The ministry noted that deploying the new trains has significantly cut wait times, particularly during rush hour.
