Bunyodkor Stadium was completely cut off from the power grid on September 4 over unpaid utility bills. The Uzbekistan Professional Football League (PFL), whose offices are based at the stadium, said it had temporarily switched to remote operations as a result.
"The power outage has degraded the quality of broadcasts and online streams for Super League and Pro League matches. During official matches, the league normally receives broadcast signals and retransmits them centrally across various platforms. However, the outage at the stadium has taken the league's servers completely offline. As a result, the league is now using external servers to retransmit match signals. Bunyodkor has faced serious financial difficulties since the start of the year. In April, the club's stadium and academy were also disconnected from hot and cold water supplies, as well as electricity, over unpaid utility bills.
