Plans are underway to establish a new international airline based in Fergana, the province administration's press service.

The Fergana Province Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with an Afghan delegation led by Kam Air Chairman Omar Mohammad Sulaiman Friday. Timur Khalilov, chief of the Commercial Department at Uzbekistan Airports JSC, also attended the meeting.

The talks centered on implementing agreements reached during a Fergana delegation's visit to Afghanistan on July 26–27, which focused on expanding trade, economic, and investment ties. Both sides discussed broadening cooperation in the aviation sector, specifically exploring the logistics, required infrastructure, and operational frameworks needed to launch the proposed international carrier.

Officials and industry experts focused on mapping out the practical stages of the project to ensure the airline meets international aviation standards.

This follows an August 15 meeting where the Governor Bozorov hosted Kam Air President Zamarai Kamgar and Abdul Hafiz Faryad, head of Afghanistan’s Spinzar Kunduz State Corporation, to discuss accelerating joint investment projects and bilateral cooperation.
