Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation has maintained a fruitful partnership with Uzbekistan since 1994, focusing on human capital development, technical training, and applied development cooperation in sectors where Israel has significant expertise for the benefits of future generations.
MASHAV's presence in Uzbekistan builds on decades of bilateral cooperation and aims to transfer Israeli know-how through training courses, seminars, donations and demonstration projects. Over the years, thousands of Uzbek specialists from the fields of agriculture, education, and healthcare have participated in these programs — both in Israel and in Uzbekistan.
The framework for cooperation is defined by a shared commitment to sustainable development, inclusive education, and practical technology transfer—key principles of MASHAV's global mission.
2025 was really rich in development cooperation especially in the field of inclusive education and technologies.

ORCAM devices, designed to read text, recognize faces, and identify objects in real time, aim to support inclusive education and social integration — reflecting MASHAV’s commitment to leveraging innovation for social good.
These priorities align with Uzbekistan’s development needs and with MASHAV’s global mission of fostering sustainable, locally driven progress.

The work in Uzbekistan is part of MASHAV’s broader global activity. While MASHAV operates in more than 140 countries to strengthen capacity in agriculture, health, education, and community resilience, Uzbekistan remains a key partner in Central Asia due to its demand for practical expertise and innovation exchange.

In 2025, even amid regional challenges and shifting geopolitical landscapes, this cooperation between Israel and Uzbekistan has continued to deliver impactful outcomes for professionals, children, and communities across sectors and demonstrates Israel’s continuous support to Uzbekistan which shows the deep bond between the people.
The cooperation brings clear benefits to both nations. Uzbekistan gains access to modern technologies, management approaches, and professional networks that contribute to economic development and institutional strengthening. At the same time, Israel benefits from deepening bilateral relations, expanding international cooperation, and building long-term partnerships in Central Asia.
Overall, MASHAV’s activities in Uzbekistan demonstrate a successful model of cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests, contributing to sustainable development and stronger ties between the two countries.
