Zohid Karaev has been appointed Deputy chairman of Uzbekneftegaz in charge of Compliance and Internal Anto-Corruption Control, the company said in a statement.
Reportedly, he will coordinate work on compliance with anti-corruption regulations, enhance internal control mechanisms, prevent corruption risks, and increase transparency in corporate governance.
Prior to his appointment, Zohid Karaev had served as chief of the Tashkent City Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.
