The Tashkent Metro has completed the technical renovation of the long-closed lobbies at the Uzbekistan, Mashinazozlar, Gafur Gulyam, and Milliy Bog stations, which will reopen to passengers today, the company said in a statement.
"The reopening was prompted by increase in passenger traffic and wishes of city residents. The lobbies had been closed for many years due to low traffic.
All technical work in the lobbies has now been completed, and the stations have now been fully equipped with modern equipment.
The Tashkent Metro is continuing to work on improving passenger comfort and safety, the statement concluded.
