Following the talks, the leaders of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh signed a Joint Declaration On Establishing Comprehensive Partnership Relations, the presidential press service said today.

Afterwards, they oversaw the signing of the following accords:

  • Cooperation agreements in the quarantine and plant protection, in the higher education, in the mining, in the environmental protection, in the prevention and fight against crime, in the health care and medical science, in the sports education;
  • Protocol on cooperation between the archival departments of the two countries;
  • Cooperation programs between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia, between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2026-2027, between the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia for 2025-2028;
  • Cooperation plan between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia;
  • Ecotourism action plan between the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.

As reported earlier, during the talks, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Mongolia agreed to promote joint projects in mining. A representative office of the Ministry of Geology of Uzbekistan will open in Ulaanbaatar. The countries also agreed to find effective transport corridors and to launch direct flights between the capitals.
