$3.5 billion in investments will be drawn to Kashkadarya province in 2025, said the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today at a meeting in Kukdala district.
In the first five months of 2025, the volume of investments in Kasan, Kitab and Chirakchi districts almost doubled.
While, industrial development does not cover 12 deposits in the province. In the field of construction materials, 16 projects worth $150 million have already been prepared. The President instructed to put the relevant sites up for auction.
20 tons (about $2.15 billion at current gold prices) in gold reserves have been discovered at a 100-hectare site in Kitab district. Potential investors are ready to invest from $100 million to $150 million in closed-pit mining of the metal - without harming the environment. The head of state noted that this deposit should also be put up for auction.
In addition, another 39 tons of gold were found in five promising areas in Kitab, and 10 thousand tons of rare metals in Chirakchi. The President ordered to begin geological exploration.
A 200-hectare innovative industrial zone is planned to be set up around the gas processing plant in Mubarek using the existing infrastructure. Five major petrochemicals, electrical engineering, robotics and building materials projects will be implemented there using a cluster system.
Despite the fact that Kashkadarya is one of the leaders in cotton production, the share of textile processing in the province is less than 10%. Only 28% of 100 thousand tons of yarn is processed into finished products.
To this end, 12 projects worth $200 million are planned to be implemented in the Kasan district on the territory of a new technopark on 40 hectares. However, the work has been temporarily suspended due to the lack of treatment facilities and sewerage. The President ordered to allocate funds for the relevant infrastructure.
In total, the province plans to launch 35 projects worth $400 million to increase the yarn processing rate to 51% this year and to 100% next year.
