The Sergeli District Criminal Court issued its ruling against the 32-year-old Abror Kozubaev, accused of raping an underage girl, the press service of the Tashkent City Courts said. The case was heard behind closed doors.
He was found guilty of committing crimes under:
- Clause "a" of Part 4 of Article 168 (Fraud);
- Part 3 of Article 126-1 (Domestic violence, causing minor bodily harm resulting in short-term health disorder);
- Part 1 of Article 112 (Threat of murder or violence);
- Article 25 (Preparation for a crime and attempted crime);
- Part 4 of Article 119 (Forcible satisfaction of sexual need in an unnatural form in relation to a person under 14 years of age).
The court sentenced him to 17 years in prison with one year of imprisonment to be served in prison and the remaining term in a general colony. He will alos have to pay 254.6 million soums in damages caused by the crime in favor of the victim.
By the ruling of the Tashkent City Criminal Court of Appeal dated April 17, 2025, the sentence of the court of first instance against Abror Kozubaev was partially changed. The crime related to threats of murder or violence, as well as the corresponding punishment, were excluded.
Due to the partial addition of the terms of punishment, he was sentenced to 16 years and 6 months of imprisonment. The rest of the sentence was left unchanged, and the appeal was dismissed.
After the arrest of Abror Kozubaev, he was accused of regular sexual violence against the 11-year-old daughter of his common-law wife, while he was officially married to another woman and had five children.
