Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the progress of the Tashkent-Vostochny business aviation airport project, the presidential press service said.
The Tashkent-Vostochny airport is designed to provide fast, safe and comfortable air traffic that meets high international standards, as well as relieve congestion at the capital's main international airport.
The 4-kilometer-long runway complex was completely refurbished as part of the phase I, which allows it to receive aircraft of all classes, including the heaviest.
Currently, construction of two terminals is ongoing - for receiving official delegations and servicing business aviation, as well as an apron and hangar facilities.
The airport will be equipped with modern radio-technical and meteorological equipment of category III-A according to ICAO standards, which will ensure reliable takeoff and landing operations even in adverse weather conditions.
All necessary conditions for safe and high-quality servicing and storage of aircraft have been created in closed hangars.
Due to its advantageous location, the new airport will become an important transport hub for Tashkent city and the New Tashkent, and will also serve as an additional incentive for the development of the tourism industry of the Tashkent province.
The head of state got acquainted with the technical characteristics of the project, architectural solutions for the terminals and gave specific instructions to speed up construction work and improve the level of service.
