Today, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a visit to Astana to attend the second Central Asia-China Summit, the presidential press service said.
The Summit will be attended by the heads of the states of the region and the leader of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. Reportedly, the parties will consider the ways to further develop multilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas, and exchanged views on the current regional and international issues, and adopt joint documents.
On the sidelines of the summit, the President Mirziyoyev is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with the Chinese leader.
The first Summit in this format took place in May 2023 in the Chinese city of Xi'an aimed at strengthening partnerships and expanding cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and China.
