Following the talks in Tashkent, the Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Bulgaria Rumen Radev today signed a joint declaration on expanding bilateral cooperation, the presidential press service said.

The two leaders also oversaw exchange of bilateral accords, including a cooperation program between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2026-2027 and an agreement on establishing partnership ties between Tashkent and Sofia. 

As previously reported, Uzbekistan and Bulgaria agreed to advance joint projects in the agro-industrial complex and food industry, pharmaceuticals, geology and tourism. The countries will consider the possibility of launching direct flights between the two countries and opening an office of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan in Sofia.
