President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted the Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz Thursday, the presidential press service said in a statement.
Reportedly, the parties discussed the ways to further broaden and deepen the Uzbek–Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership ties, primarily in the trade-economic and investment areas.
They welcomed the ongoing intensive contacts and exchanges at various levels and highly appreciated the outcomes of today’s intergovernmental commission meeting, business dialogue, and exhibition in Tashkent and underscored the importance of coordinated measures to further increase the two-way trade, including by expanding the range of goods covered under the preferential trade deal.
The parties also focused on preparing the agenda for the next meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation.
