The Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev held talks with a delegation led by Director General of the Korean National Railways Lee Seong-hae.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the parties explored the possibility of expanding cooperation in innovations and modernization of the railway system. 

They focused on implementing of a modern signaling, geolocation and traffic control system, as well as a Korean navigation solution, which will serve to increase the safety of high-speed trains on new railroad projects in the country. 

Director General of the Korean National Railways Lee Seong-hae also provided information on the drafting the feasibility study for the Tashkent to Samarkand high-speed railway project. 

The parties also approved preparatory work to be performed by a consortium of companies Saman Engineering, Dong Myeong Engineering Consultants & Architecture Co., Ltd, Korea Railroad Corporation and Korea National Railway with the support of a Korea Eximbank grant.
