Due to the closure of Moscow airspace, several Uzbekistan Airways flights were rerouted to alternate airports, the company’s press service said.

Rerouted flights:

  • HY9619, Namangan to Moscow (Vnukovo) - rerouted to Ufa;
  • HY9671, Tashkent to Nizhny Novgorod - Ufa;
  • HY613, Tashkent to Moscow (Vnukovo) - St. Petersburg;
  • HY9627, Fergana to Moscow (Vnukovo) - St. Petersburg;
  • HY601, Tashkent to Moscow (Domodedovo) - St. Petersburg;
  • HY605, Samarkand to Moscow (Vnukovo) - St. Petersburg.

Centrum Air reported that MFX403 Tashkent to Moscow flight had to land in Ufa, and then in St. Petersburg.

Delays of other flights are also possible, the carrier added.

In addition, the MFX5537 Tashkent to Nha Trang flight returned to the capital of Uzbekistan due to the closure of Pakistani airspace.

On May 6, restrictions on the landing and taking off of aircraft were introduced and lifted throughout the day in Moscow and other Russian cities due to attacks by Ukrainian drones. On May 6 and 7, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported repelling attacks by about 30 drones.
