Streetpark Systems the company which had been awarded contract for Tashkent city paid parking, set up first paid parking lots along roadways in test mode in Tashkent.
One of the parking lots is located in the Amir Temur Square and is marked with capitalized P on an orange background. The price of parking is 12 thousand soums per hour, and a fine for failure to pay. Amendments to into the legislation are expected to be inserted and they ares set to be adopted in the 3rd-4th quarter of this year, the company added.
Parking can be paid for on Poytaxt Parking mobile app or in cash through Paynet terminals. The app is being developed by Streetpark Systems, which has also been entitled to create and provide technical support for the unified Paid Parking information system.
As noted by the company, the project is being implemented at the initiative of the Tashkent city mayor’s office.
The technical operator of the project is Streetpark Systems, which is implementing the entire project under the municipal brand Poytaxt Parking.
“As for the mobile application, it is temporarily hidden in the App Store and Google Play, since the official launch of the project has not yet taken place. We have deliberately delayed the publication to ensure full technical readiness for launch day,” the company said, announcing plans to hold a press conference on May 5.
