The Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council Summit scheduled for May 5 in the city of Samarkand has been postponed by consent of the parties, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The parties are working to set a new date through consultations. Additional information will be provided on the date of the summit and other details.
Efforts to strengthen dialogue and partnership within this cooperation format will continue, the statement added.
On April 16 of this year, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov attended the third Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council ministerial meeting in Kuwait, where holding of the Summit in Samarkand on May 5 was announced.
