Russian manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), Future Transport will launch a civilian drones production unit in Uzbekistan before 2026, announced the company's CEO Yuri Kozarenko at the plenary session at the Innoprom. Central Asia International Industrial Exhibition.

"We have analyzed the market and we can say that tens of thousands of drones can be economically and efficiently integrated into the market today, thereby ensuring greater profitability. The joint venture that we are already building here in Uzbekistan will be launched before the year-end, we expect the volume of manufactured products to surpass $100 million. And this is only at the first stage with localization of products at the level of 50% in Uzbekistan. That is, this is the development, production and a separate block for the use of drones," he said.

According to him, in order to use drones, it is necessary to carry out a significant block of work with the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzaviatsia). "This is the creation of infrastructure in such a way that the use of drones is safe and cost-effective. This is the steps that we have also taken on in the country and which we are conducting together with colleagues," the CEO added.

Commenting on the proposal to set up a joint scientific and technical council on unmanned systems, Kozarenko said: "The creation of such a scientific and technical council, in which we will not just carry out current localization - what the market needs - but begin to talk about the future. In this future, it is important to take into account not only technologies, technological leadership, but also new approaches to science, to education. We are not just talking about new education, but about highly effective education, where each business understands why it is investing heavily in the development of new human potential."

Future Transport has offered Uzbekistan joint implementation of projects, "where the Russian Federation becomes not only a party that transfers technologies, but also one that receives technologies, receives products," the CEO concluded.
