Four Uzbek nationals have lost their lives in Türkiye over the past three days, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul said.

Tragedy struck on June 11 on the Northern Marmara Highway in Istanbul, where a devastating car accident claimed the lives of a 31-year-old Uzbek national, identified as A.H., and her two-month-old infant. The woman's Turkish spouse also perished in the crash.

The following day, on June 12, another fatal traffic accident occurred in Istanbul’s Tuzla district. A 23-year-old Uzbek national, N.M., succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the collision.

In a separate incident, a 58-year-old Uzbek woman passed away in an Istanbul hospital following a prolonged battle with cancer.

The Consulate General in Istanbul expressed its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. The diplomatic mission stated that, in cooperation with the Migration Agency, it is currently providing all necessary consular and legal assistance, including arrangements to repatriate the bodies back to Uzbekistan.
