Today on April 28, a government delegation headed by the Deputy Attorney General Shohrukh Aminov left for Russia, Hayot Shamsutdinov, spokesman to the Attorney General's Office said.
The delegation will attend the first meeting of the interdepartmental working group on labor migration and protection of migrants' rights in the Russian Federation on April 29.
The delegation includes officials of the Attorney General's Office, the State Security Service, the Migration Agency, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs and Health.
Earlier on April 15 of this year, the Legislative Chamber filed a parliamentary request to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov regarding the protection of the legitimate interests of Uzbek nationals abroad.
The Foreign Minister was asked to provide information on the measures being taken to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek nationals.
