Yandex Uzbekistan is buying stake in Express24 delivery service. The stake’s size and value of the deal have not been disclosed.
“The companies have agreed to create a single technological platform for food delivery in Uzbekistan, combining the advantages of Yandex Go and Express24 services. To do this, Yandex will buy a stake in Express24, the deal will be closed in the near future,” Yandex Uzbekistan said.
The Express24 app will be operational as usual, the company noted.
“After the deal is closed, the Yandex Eats in Yandex Go and Express24 will switch to a single technological platform. Due to this, the density of orders will increase, couriers will be able to make more deliveries and, accordingly, earn more,” Yandex Uzbekistan added.
Reportedly, after this, users will receive orders faster, and the choice of restaurants will expand.
Express24 partner restaurants, in turn, will be able to increase the delivery zone, as well as use the promotion tools from the new platform.
Express24 is a service for the delivery of prepared food, goods from stores and products from bazaars, operating since 2017.
