Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim has accepted the invitation of the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev and will visit the country on an official visit on May 17-19, the Uzbek presidency press service reported.
The highest-level events and negotiations are scheduled in Tashkent on the first day of the visit. They are expected to discuss the ways to advance political dialogue and to expand cultural and humanitarian exchange, promoting programs and cooperation projects in the fields of trade, innovation, energy, petrochemicals, industry, electrical engineering and electronics, agriculture and other sectors. In addition, there will be an exchange of views on the current international agenda.
Then the Malaysian PM will visit Samarkand and Bukhara, where he will get acquainted with the cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan and attend the joint business forum.
