The Information and Mass Communications Agency (IMCA) under the President has been abolished. This is stipulated by the President’s Measures to improve efficiency, proactivity and effectiveness in the public administration system Decree, said the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov.

A National Content Production Center has been set up in place of the IMCA.

In addition, from now on, all regulations and projects will be developed based on scientific research by analytical institutes under the Presidential Administration (PA), taking into account the recommendations of scientists, local and foreign experts.

The implementation of key area reforms will be carried out through project offices, and a compliance system is being introduced into the activities of the PA.

Positions of presidential representatives have been opened for certain areas.

While, the institution of spokesmen is being reinforced, a new system of interaction with the public and the media is being introduced. This is aimed at increasing the openness and effectiveness of communication between the state and society.

The same decree provides for the reorganization of the Presidential Administration and its system organizations, where the number of staff has been cut by 284. Five positions of deputy heads of the Presidential Administration have also been introduced, with new departments created, including for public safety and the rule of law, as well as for digitalization and AI.
