The Tashkent city mayor’s office signed a framework agreement with the Chinese BYD on purchase of 2 thousand BYD K9UD eBus electric buses.
According to the company's press service, BYD will deliver electric buses adapted to the local climate and road conditions of the Tashkent city.
The low-floor electric bus K9UD eBus, designed for transportation within the city, is 12 meters long and can accommodate up to 90 passengers.
The Tashkent city will receive the deliver of the first batch of 200 electric buses in 2024.
At the end of September, a delegation of BYD top management landed in Tashkent and met with the Uzbek leader and the city mayor.
