Chinese company Hebei Good Hope Logistics Development Co. will launch an electric pickups production unit in Uzbekistan. The relevant agreement was inked during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in April this year.
The unit will be located in the Angren Free Economic Zone, with localization level planned to be brought up to 50%.
The agreement also provides for the production of high-quality architectural glass (3-12 mm), electrical products (motors, pumps, electric traction tools, metal processing equipment), photovoltaic modules, etc.
Preparation and approval of the project feasibility study is scheduled for January 2020, the commissioning of the first project is due in January 2021.
