President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Measures to further improve regulation of production and sale of some items subject to excise tax decree, the Ministry of Justice said.
In accordance with the decree:
- from August 15, 2019, the excise tax rate for compressed gas to end-consumers shall be increased by 20%;
- from October 1, 2019, the excise tax rate on alcohol products shall be increased by an average of 10%, tobacco products - by 20%.
Also, the validity period of previously issued licenses for the production of alcohol and alcohol products has been extended until January 1, 2020.
