Authorized representatives or official dealers of manufacturers are required for importing a number of home appliances into Uzbekistan from February 1, 2024. This is provided for by the president’s Jan. 10 Additional measures to further increase the productive and export potential of the electrical industry Decree, the Ministry of Justice said.
Representatives and dealers must “ensure their quality, safety and service warranties” and also have customer service.
This list includes:
- aluminum radiators;
- hot water boilers;
- water heaters;
- steam boilers;
- vacuum cleaners;
- washing machines;
- refrigerators, freezers;
- TVs and monitors;
- household gas stoves;
- ovens and stoves;
- microwave ovens, irons, water heaters;
- air conditioners;
- liquid pumps.
On the Uzeltehsanoat website, members of the association list 31 manufacturers of home appliances in Uzbekistan, including Polaris Technologies, Quality Device, Future Industry Systems, Quality Electronics, Techno Continental, Next Generation Product, Biss Electronics System (production of S Smart TVs in Karshi), Sam-Ferri (produces household appliances under the Femas brand, Kleo freezers and refrigeration equipment, etc.) and others.
