On August 3, 2024, the Intercontinental Tashkent, IHG Hotels hosted the third annual model show as part of the South Korean “Asia Model Festival” - Face of Uzbekistan 2024. Asia Model Festival is a large-scale event in Seoul that has been bringing together the brightest young people from over 25 countries for 18 years. The main goal of the annual event is to expand the horizons for younger generation to start a career in the modeling industry.
Face of Uzbekistan 2024 is an open platform for all young people of Uzbekistan, anyone can take part in the annual competition. The general partner of the annual event is UzNex company. In June of this year, more than 1,200 young men and women from all over the Republic registered for the first casting. Only 24 finalists reached the final. Over the past few weeks, they have been trained by Yevgenya Klepova - manager of “NN Models”, director of fashion shows, mentor of models with more than 20 years of experience. The final of the show was attended by more than 400 guests: representatives of the media business from South Korea, key players in the fashion industry of Uzbekistan, stylists, photographers, couturiers, diplomatic mission representatives of different countries, friends and relatives of participants. Headliner of the event was the famous Uzbek singer Munisa Rizayeva.
The judge panel of Face of Uzbekistan 2024 included: Charles Lee, Head of Face of Asia Organizing Committee; Chairman Young, Head of the Organizing Committee, Chairman of Asia Model Festival; Nana Han, General Producer of Face of Uzbekistan, founder of NN MODELS and Nana Han Modeling School, fashion photographer, international model, and key fashion persons of Uzbekistan: Kristin Park, Lola Saifi, Kamilla Akhmedova, Kamola Rustamova, Bakhtiyor Valiev.
During the evening, the finalists of the show participated in three stages and prepared one creative performance for the judges. Each block was evaluated on a 10-point scale. The winners of the contest “Face of Uzbekistan 2024” were: Maksim Ufimskiy and Fatima Yuldasheva - they will go to the final show in South Korea, Seoul, where they will represent Uzbekistan on the international stage, as well as sign contracts with the production center. A surprise for the participants of the show was an additional nomination from the partners of "Miss Elegance", which was – Sarvinoz Nematova - she will also go to the final of the show together with the winners of Face of Uzbekistan 2024. The winners from the event's partners Xiel, UzNex and NN Models were Umidullo Saydaliyev, Malika Alibekova and Dilnuri Xayrullayeva.
Already in October 2024, the finalists, along with the star representative from Uzbekistan - Lola Yuldasheva, as well as blogger - Yulduz Mavlyanova, will go to Seoul to participate in the Asia Model Festival competition. Lola Yuldasheva will also be a member of the jury for Face of Asia 2024 – part of Asia Model Festival.
