Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov arrived in Kazan on a working visit. At Kazan international airport he was met by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Today PM Aripov will take part in the events in the framework of meeting of Council of CIS Heads of government and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, a statement of the Kazan Kremlin said.

The meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government will be chaired by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The agenda includes the fulfillment of Innovative Cooperation Program of the CIS member-states, an Agreement on Counteracting Production and Distribution of Counterfeit Products, establishment of an Interstate Council on Legal Protection of Intellectual Property, as well as modifying the Regulation on the Office for Coordinating Fight Against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Crimes in the CIS countries.

The previous meeting was held on October 28, 2016 in Minsk. The Heads of CIS governments discussed the development of trade-economic and industrial cooperation, humanitarian ties, and enhancing food security.
