At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev a telephone conversation with President Nursultan Nazarbayev Kazakhstan was held.
During the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and wished further prosperity to the people of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on official assumption of office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The two leaders also discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of activating the Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation.
