Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov in New York attended the regular meeting of the foreign ministries of the five Central Asian countries and the United States of America in the C5+1 format.
The US Secretary of State and Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the special representative of Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister held a ministerial level meeting Friday in New York, during which they reportedly discussed ways to promote Afghanistan’s economic development within a regional framework.
The C5+1 format is a format for dialogue and a platform for joint efforts to address common challenges faced by the United States and the five Central Asian countries, particularly in issue areas where regional approaches may provide a comparative advantage.
The C5 + 1 created in 2015 include projects in Counter-Terrorism, Central Asia Business Competitiveness, Transport Corridor Development, Power the Future and Supporting National and Regional Adaptation Planning.
