Four school graduates in Samarkand saved a girl who fell from a window on the fourth floor. She only sustained a minor wound on her forehead and is reportedly feeling herself well. 

Uzbekistan Airways announced holiday flight sale for local destinations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. According to the company press service, starting from June 8, the airline will offer a 50% discount on all domestic flights scheduled from June 28 to July 2. 

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and will pay an official visit to Italy on June 7-9.

First large turbine was installed as part of the wind farm project in Tamdy district of Navoi province. According to the Ministry of Energy, the first 4.7 MW capacity turbine by Goldwind (China) was installed as part of the 500 MW capacity wind farm project in Tamdy district of Navoi province, implemented by the Emirati company Masdar.

On June 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree introducing a visa-free regime for nationals of Qatar, the Ministry of Justice said. As per the decree, Qataris can stay on the territory of Uzbekistan without a visa for 30 days from the date of entry.

Kazakhstan will prepare its infrastructure for the transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan by the autumn-winter season of 2023, announced the Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev at a meeting on the gas industry in the lower house of parliament on Friday.
