On May 19 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Turkmenistan. In the airport of Turkmenbashi city the Uzbek President was met by Deputy Prime Minister, the Foreign Mnister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, UzA said.
The two leaders will hold talks in the city of Turkmenbashi on topical issues of bilateral ties in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, as well as exchange of views on regional and international affairs.
The Presidents will oversee the signing of a number of intergovernmental, interdepartmental and other documents aimed at further development of cooperation in various fields, with businesses of the two countries expected to conclude a package of mutually beneficial commercial accords.
President Mirziyoyev will also visit the Avaza national tourism zone, where children from Uzbekistan's various provinces that have been affected the most by the consequences of the Aral ecological catastrophe will get treatment.
