The sides discussed the issues of practical realization of the agreements in the political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian fields reached during the recent high-level visit to the People's Republic of China.
Particular attention was paid to stepping up interregional cooperation, in particular, to intensification of trade, investment and cultural ties, as well as tourist exchange between the ancient cities of Samarkand and Xian, Bukhara and Luoyang, which have established twin-city relations.
Vice Chairman, Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wang Cheng highly appreciated the deep structural reforms undertaken in Uzbekistan in the framework of the Uzbekistan's Five-Area Development Strategy for 2017-2021.
He expressed sincere gratitude to the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and confirmed the interest and readiness of the Chinese side for full-scale cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries to promote concrete programs and projects aimed at expanding and strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.
