President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the end of a two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia, visited Mecca and performed umrah rites, the presidential press service said.
Reportedly, in accordance with the canons of Islam, the head of our state put on a special ihram attire, read namaz, said the talbiyah prayer and entered the Al-Haram Mosque.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was given a great honor to enter the sacred Kaaba, which every Muslim dreams of. Inside the shrine, he read a prayer.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev performed the tawaf ritual seven times, i.e. circumambulation around the Kaaba, as well as seven walks between the hills of Safa and Marva.
Together with members of the delegation of Uzbekistan and the ulema, a dua was read with a request for peace and prosperity to Uzbekistan, happiness and prosperity for the people of the country, the presidential press service reported.
