President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today hosted Long Yuxiang, chairman of the China International Cultural Communication Center, and Chan Hung-to, founder of Hong Kong-based JDB Group, the presidential press service reported.
The meeting focused on deepening Uzbekistan's comprehensive, all-weather strategic partnership with China and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
Parties noted that the Center has made a significant contribution to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, with a number of joint projects already carried out in infrastructure development, investment and green industry.
The development of modern urban, transport and industrial infrastructure, along with geology, were identified as priority areas for JDB Group's operations in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed at the close of the meeting to accelerate both ongoing and new projects involving the company.
This follows an earlier announcement that new micro hydropower plants will be built in Andijan in partnership with a Chinese company.
