Wi-Fi network has been launched at Tashkent International Airport for passengers and guests, the Uzbekistan Airports reported on Friday.
“Together with Uzbektelecom, all work on connecting communication channels and installing equipment has been completed, full coverage of the entire territory of the terminal complex — departure and arrival halls — has been completed,” the report says.
To connect to the Internet, visitors need to search for the #TASAirportUzcloud Wi-Fi network on their device and click the "Connect" button. The system will redirect to the authorization page, where one will have to enter a mobile phone number (this service is also available for foreign numbers). An SMS will be sent to the specified number to confirm authorization.
Next, the system will offer options for paid and free access. If you choose free access, the system will show three short commercials, after which it will provide access to the Internet. If you choose paid access, the system offers a choice of tariff plan and after payment provides Internet access for a period according to the tariff plan.
Previously, the Sola provider's wireless network operated at the airport, but, as specified by the air harbor administration, its work was unstable.
