President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko plans to visit Uzbekistan and attend the SCO Summit in September, announced the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.

According to him, in Tashkent, the President of Belarus will also hold a bilateral meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin would attend the SCO and the CIS summits in the fall.

In February 2021, the President signed the Measures to prepare for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2022 in Samarkand Decree.

Later, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov announced the construction of 8 hotels of different categories and stars (7, 11 and 22-storied) in Samarkand. They are designed for 1,200 rooms for future guests and delegates.
