Regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the SCO member states took place in Tashkent on June 14-17, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Reportedly, at the center of the agenda was the preparations for the SCO Summit, the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) and the Council of Foreign Ministers, as well as for the meetings of heads of sectoral ministries and departments this year.
The coordination of draft documents, which are supposed to be presented at the meeting of the SCO CHS in September this year in Samarkand, continued.
The prospects for expanding cooperation with other international and regional associations were discussed, as well as the applications of a number of states for obtaining the status of an observer state or a dialogue partner of the SCO. Issues of the current activities of the SCO were also considered.
On June 17, the national coordinators attended the conference entitled SCO: from Central Asia to Eurasia, timed with the 20th anniversary of the signing of the SCO charter, organized by the international institution of Central Asia.
