U.S. Ambassador Rosenblum visited Tashkent's IT Park on June 9. ICT Minister Shermatov spoke about the government’s goal to turn Uzbekistan into a regional IT hub and expressed hope that U.S. IT companies would open regional offices at the park.
Ambassador Rosenblum reviewed the ongoing construction of the IT Park complex's new buildings. 80% of IT Park residents, including 60 U.S. companies, actively export services to US. Minister Shermatov reiterated his desire to expand bilateral cooperation with the United States.
He thanked Minister and IT Park team for the warm welcome and expressed his support for the further development of U.S.-Uzbekistan collaboration in IT sector.
