Russian President Putin will attend the SCO and CIS summits in autumn, announced the Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov to journalists on Tuesday, TASS reported.
“A lot of events are planned for the autumn. It is the SCO summit in Samarkand in September, in addition to our eastern economic forum. Then - the Council of CIS Heads of State in Nur-Sultan on October 14,” he said.
In February 2021, the President Mirziyoyev signed the Measures to prepare for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city of Samarkand in 2022 Decree.
The Decree approved the composition of the organizing commission for preparation to the SCO summit and a phased plan for holding the summit events.
Later, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov said that 8 hotels (7, 11 and 22 floors) of different categories and stars would be built in Samarkand. They will be designed for 1.2 thousand rooms, which will accommodate guests and participants of the upcoming summit.
