Spokesman to the Prosecutor General's Office Khayot Shamsuddinov commented on a social media post about the death of a high school student in Uchkuprik district of Fergana province after being beaten by her father.
On June 4, a resident of Turgok village K.Sh. learned that his daughter, 16, went out to meet boyfriend at night. The angry father hit his daughter several times on the head, the girl lost consciousness from the beatings. Reportedly, he brought her to her senses by splashing water on her and told her not to talk to the guy again.
The girl went to her bedroom, where she died from her injuries.
On the fact of death, a criminal case was launched under Deliberate grievous bodily injury resulting in death charge of the Criminal Code. The suspect was detained, the Uchkuprik police department is conducting investigation.
