Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umrzakov visited Moscow on June 3-4.

According to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the two-day visit included meetings with a number of Russian officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of existing agreements, as well as important aspects of further development of Uzbek-Russian ties.

The sides noted that strong ties and active cooperation are observed in all areas of multifaceted relations between the two countries and expressed mutual commitment to continue efforts to promote previously agreed projects, programs and initiatives.

Special attention was paid to investment, trade and economic, industrial, transport and logistics cooperation. Joint positions have been developed on practical mechanisms for deepening mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further measures to address ways of practical cooperation in all areas of cooperation.
